whenever i change the colour/material of a model, the 3D drawing view does not reflect the change unless i delete the drawing view and create another one.

i have tried 'update all pages' in the inventor drawing, but it has no affect on the colour of the shaded view. Physical changes to the model update with no problems, but not colours/textures.

is this a bug in inventor?
or is there a way to update the drawing view to reflect the colour change?

Hi there,

If you right click on the drawing views and select "edit view" and then in the area on the left where is says "Representation", there is a check box with a little chain link next to it. If you tick this box, the view rep becomes associative so any colour or visiblity changes you make in the assembly will transfer through to the drawing.

Hope this helps... if not, call in for further support on 1300 368 609!
