Hi,
I have printed this many times & i get the same issue each time.

The drawing is just a title block a single view port & a attached single image..

On the lower half of the sheet there are these vertical lines that appear? & no matter how many times i print it they appear?

The preview is fine, hard copy fine, but the final pdf is not usable... Each time i plot the line varies from 1 to 4 in different locations.

I have started the drawing again from scratch, purge, audit, nothing gets rid of the lines?

This is also happening in the same drawing across mutable cadd pc's?

Help, please,,,,,,

Hello,

I have some questions that knowing the answers might help me to help you.
1. What version of AutoCAD are you using?
2. Have you checked that there is no layer locked or turned off

if you are using the 2008 the layer might be locked and faded so you can see the lines in AutoCAD but when you PDF the file, they appear.

By the way, are you talking about those 3 vertical lines which they are grey?

regards,
Panteha

Hi Panteha,

I am currently using 2008 Civil 3D.

All layers are visible, none are locked/turned off/frozen.
Imageframe is set to 2. (tested setting imageframe to 0 & still got the same issue)..

The vertical lines are black & .25mm wide...

As I didn’t prepare this drawing & one of my juniors did, I have dug a little deeper..
As I now I have had the time..
There are actually 2 images (both were imageclip), I turned off the clip, & re built the vports from one to two to clip the image via the vports. plot..... still the lines on the lower image..

I focused in on the lower image that was having the line come up, opened it up & was a little freaked out by the use of brackets in the file name.. eg.087611007_XIMG_Figure 21b (seepage_0kpa).jpg
So I used my image program (SnagIT - highly recommended, or Jing is freeware version).. Save As the image & removed the brackets..

SUCESS.. YAH!!! Grin Grin Grin

Thanks for your support...
